[ http://www.uidaho.edu/engr/ME/sr_des/silencers/technical.html ] I wanted to find more...but i'll try and explain. just because you think a Greddy SP/PE looks straight through, the cans that are the muffler, actually contain baffles and sometimes chambers. these chambers act as sound accumulators, evenening out the gas pressures. they also promote the exhaust not to deaden itself. the less baffles/chambers, the louder and possibly less efficient the exhaust system.
I have no idea what B&B have in their cans, but I have a feeling its little bitty perpetual v8 engines. damn that exhaust is loud.
